Senior Clinician
Jason Anderson, LCSW
Hello! I’m Jason (he/him). I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has spent nearly two decades helping children, adolescents, and adults move through anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and depression that hasn't responded to previous treatment. My approach is practical and skills-based: I draw primarily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention, with an emphasis on the behavioral work that actually changes how my clients function day to day — not just how they think about their problems.
I have a particular focus on obsessive-compulsive disorder and anxiety-related conditions, using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) as a first-line treatment for clients of all ages. For younger children, I integrate Cognitive-Behavioral Play Therapy, adapting evidence-based techniques to a developmentally appropriate, play-based format. I also work with clients experiencing treatment-resistant depression, bringing a persistent, collaborative approach to cases where earlier treatment hasn't produced lasting change.
Jason Anderson, LCSW earned his bachelor’s and master's degree in Social Work from California State University Sacramento. He has over 20 years of clinical experience providing counseling to children, individuals, and families from diverse backgrounds, ages, and cultures. He has extensive experience with adoptions, foster care, at-risk youth, and adults. He utilizes CBT, trauma based CBT, motivational interviewing, family systems, DBT, ACT, sandtray, and play therapy.
